Bryan is a lawyer whose main focus is advising clients on intellectual property and technology issues. He is admitted to practice law in a number of jurisdictions and has his legal practice at UniLegal LLC in Singapore. Bryan has the privilege of working for an array of clients ranging from startups, small/medium enterprises to listed corporations.
With his background in litigation and intellectual property enforcement, Bryan undertakes enforcement actions on behalf of owners of intellectual property. Further, his understanding of technology enables Bryan to effectively negotiate and close high value transactions; advise clients on technology, privacy concerns and the provision of online/cloud services.
Bryan brings insights and experience from the positions he held at Microsoft and IBM. At Microsoft, Bryan was the lead attorney for the Windows division and dealt with legal issues relating to all Windows products. At IBM, Bryan was largely responsible for the integration of Lotus (an acquired public company) into IBM. He worked for IBM in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Singapore. In Singapore, he was the Asia Pacific regional counsel and was later promoted to be the Asia Pacific CFO for Lotus.
When he was in private practice prior to going in-house, Bryan had a busy litigation practice at a large Singapore law firm, KhattarWong, focusing mainly on intellectual property enforcement. He later managed a number of enforcement programs in Asia on behalf of the Business Software Alliance.
Bryan believes in developing long term relationships of trust with his clients. He has been a trusted counselor for numerous clients in navigating them through complex legal concerns.
